Mrunal Thakur has had a busy 2026 with three theatrical releases in the first half of the year. She started with the romantic drama *Do Deewane Seher Mein* opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, which released in February. The film received mixed reviews and did not perform well at the box office. In April she appeared in the bilingual action-romance *Dacoit: A Love Story* (also known as *Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha*) opposite Adivi Sesh. The film marked another collaboration with Telugu cinema after *Sita Ramam* and *Hi Nanna*. Critics were divided on the movie but praised her performance as Saraswati. June saw the release of David Dhawan’s romantic comedy *Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai*, where she shared screen space with Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde. The film received mixed reactions from audiences and reviewers. Her next release is the long-delayed thriller *Pooja Meri Jaan*, co-starring Huma Qureshi. Shot in 2022, the film is finally arriving on ZEE5 after a four-year wait. The official teaser was released in July 2026. Mrunal is also part of Atlee’s big-budget pan-Indian film *Raaka* starring Allu Arjun. Reports suggest she will play a key role in the contemporary timeline of the two-part fantasy-action project, which is currently filming and expected in 2027.
