Ashika Ranganath has steadily built a strong presence across Kannada, Telugu and Tamil cinema. Born in 1996 in Hassan, Karnataka, she made her acting debut with the 2016 Kannada film Crazy Boy and has since delivered a mix of commercial entertainers, thrillers and fantasy roles. In recent years she expanded into Telugu with Amigos and Naa Saami Ranga, while continuing to take on challenging characters in her home industry. Her most recent theatrical release is the Telugu comedy-drama Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, which hit screens on 13 January 2026. Directed by Kishore Tirumala, the film stars Ravi Teja and features Ashika as Manasa Shetty in a glamorous and pivotal role. The movie opened during the Sankranti season and marked another successful outing for her in Tollywood. Just before that, Ashika headlined the Kannada fantasy drama Gatha Vaibhava, released on 14 November 2025. Directed by Simple Suni, the film gave her a rare quadruple role as Adhunika, Devakanye Devi, Elizabeth and Mangala. Critics and audiences praised her versatility, further strengthening her reputation as a performer capable of handling complex characters. Looking ahead, two major projects are lined up for later in 2026. Sardar 2, the Tamil spy thriller directed by P.S. Mithran and starring Karthi, is scheduled for release on 10 September. Ashika is also part of the big-budget Telugu socio-fantasy Vishwambhara, opposite Chiranjeevi, which is currently targeting a Dussehra release on 16 October 2026. Both films are in post-production and are expected to raise her profile further. With a growing body of work that spans languages and genres, Ashika Ranganath continues to balance commercial appeal with performance-driven roles. From her SIIMA-winning turn in O2 to the high-profile collaborations with Ravi Teja, Karthi and Chiranjeevi, she remains one of the more consistent and versatile young actresses in South Indian cinema.
