Ashika ranganath

Ashika Ranganath’s latest movies include BMW with Ravi Teja, Gatha Vaibhava, upcoming Sardar 2 with Karthi and Vishwambhara with Chiranjeevi. Full 2025-26 film update.

Ashika Ranganath has quietly built one of the more interesting multi-language careers in South Indian cinema. The Hassan-born actress, who started with the 2016 Kannada film *Crazy Boy*, now moves comfortably between Kannada, Telugu and Tamil projects. After a decade in the industry, 2025–26 has become her busiest stretch yet, with a mix of commercial entertainers and bigger-banner films that have widened her reach beyond Sandalwood. Her most recent theatrical release is the Telugu Sankranti comedy *Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi* (BMW), which hit screens on 13 January 2026. Opposite Ravi Teja and Dimple Hayathi, Ashika plays Manasa Shetty, a modern, glamorous character that generated strong pre-release buzz. Just weeks earlier, in November 2025, she appeared in Simple Suni’s Kannada film *Gatha Vaibhava*, taking on a demanding quadruple role that showcased a different side of her range. Two high-profile films are now lined up. *Sardar 2*, the Tamil spy-action sequel starring Karthi and directed by P.S. Mithran, is scheduled for 10 September 2026. Shortly after that comes *Vishwambhara*, Chiranjeevi’s ambitious socio-fantasy film directed by Vashist, targeted for a Dussehra 2026 release around 16 October. Ashika has a key supporting part in the latter, sharing screen space with Trisha Krishnan. These projects sit on top of a solid recent run that includes the Tamil romantic comedy *Miss You* (2024) with Siddharth, the Kannada medical drama *O2* (for which she won the SIIMA Best Actress – Kannada award), *Avatara Purusha 2*, and Nagarjuna’s *Naa Saami Ranga*. The combination of awards recognition and bigger Telugu and Tamil banners has shifted her image from “promising Kannada heroine” to a reliable pan-South face. With *Sardar 2* arriving in days and *Vishwambhara* close behind, Ashika Ranganath is entering the next phase of her career at the right time. Industry reports also mention a possible pairing with Sharwanand under Sreenu Vaitla, which could further strengthen her Telugu presence. For now, audiences will watch how she handles the scale of these two 2026 releases.
